The Team of YIT Lentek has become a vice-champion in Swamp Soccer!

July 17 and 18 the Annual International Swamp Soccer tournament took place in Hyrynsalmi (Finland).

Our team has participated in these unusual and fascinating competitions many years. In tournament progress the team of YIT Lentek passed all selection tests and having occupied the first place in one’s subgroup entered the play-off grid. Later our football players successively won 1/8, ¼ finals and semi-final.

All fans and spectators remembered a dramatic final when our team fought against experienced Finnish team for the title of a champion. When the basic time expired the score was 1:1, and the referee awarded a penalty.

In the result the Finnish team kicked a decisive goal, and the silver prize 2009 from Finnish swamps left for the Neva river banks. The Silver Cup of Swamp Soccer vice-champion will occupy a worthy place among the trophies of our team.
